Hey guys!
You know I rarely do personal journal entries (btw, let me know if you wanna know more about me, I'm just not sure if you're interested in smth more than only my arts ^^' ). But today my husband woke me up with words: "Olia, Sakimi drew your idea!". I was confused and didn't understand what he was talking about, then he added: "Widowmaker and Officer Caitlyn". You may say "And what?". But the issue is much more serious than you can imagine.
I know how DA community works - everything is compared with a 'godlike' SakimiChan. And If I draw Widowmaker with Officer Caitlyn in near future, everyone will tell me "You were inspired by Sakimi, weren't you?" or "You should not copy Sakimi, do your own". Even if it's kind comments, when people like my works but compare them with those which were created by miss S., it sounds very offensive. And today I want to tell about this, about what breaks my heart, about dishonest things.
And I want to start about today's Widowmaker x Caitlyn. I made my first sketch of this couple in February 2017, I wanted to correct it, to make Widow standing, because at this momemnt I have empty corner on the picture. But I thought "Will correct when I'll start painting them". *I don't draw them in Feb, because this kind of rewards has not been unlocked yet on Patreon, but sometimes I do sketches to fix ideas for future.

Of course I didn't plan to show this sketch. As you can see Caitlyn is also behind, Widow is in handcuffs and Cait is doing some interesting actions by her hand. If to be honest sometimes I even think than Sakimi has a direct connection to my head or PC, because I have many ideas and sketches, but she draw it faster. Well, I know it's just my paranoia. But just imagine that I finish all my sketches! 100% that some people will say that I'm a fan of Sakimi (guys, it's annoying!).
Btw, to prove that I made this sketch earlier:
Look at the dates, original sketch was made on 18th of February 2017, it's 4 months earlier. I also made a screenshot of the date when I blurred erotic parts to show the picture to you - it was today.
Why I show all this? When I'll paint this picture I want all people not compare it with Sakimi!!
Now let's talk about the style. So many times people told me that I was inspired with Sakimi. Omg, no! I started to draw seriously in year 2014. Then I didn't know about lot's of things on DeviantArt and I didn't know about popular artist. I started to form my style inspired by League of Legends splash arts:
Greatest changes in my artstyle happenned after I tried Blade and Soul game. When I was a teen I also was inspired by this style when I saw Magna Carta arts in the game magazine (Gameland / Страна Игр). And now this style again in the new game! It influenced on me so much that I wanted to add this style to mine and made this Dragon Nest fan art:
I didn't know Sakimi, I didn't even know that I can put tags under the artwork and so on. I just wanted to make a fan art and to improve. I used BnS own screenshots as references. Well, I still had many problems with anatomy, proportion and shading, but I wanted to make my style more like in this game. For you I found those screenshots for example:
So I want to say that Sakimichan is not a center of art universe! Me, she and many other artists just draw in semi-realistic style! S. is not its inventor and even not the best, she is just the most famous and well known artist on the Internet! Stop compare others with her. Everyone can draw in this style. Her style is not super original and so on. If you look better at her works you'll see that her faces look pretty like faces of good cosplayers! Especially eyes. Just google some cosplays, asian, european and even photos of Jessica Nigri)) Seriously.
I also been looking through my BnS screenshots and noticed that her style is similar to this game too:
Dates and year when screenshots were made:
I don't tell that she draw over screenshots and so on. It's just a semi-realistic style.

People told me that I draw like Sakimi. But have you ever thought that she may draw like others? You may say that it's also my paranoia, but here is what I think.
Maybe you know that painting feature when light lays down on the tip of the nose and make this bright light spot. When Sakimi started to do it on an industrial scale (it was in year 2015), everyone started to copy it. But I started to do it even earlier, in 2014.
Also after November 2016 she started to add lots of birth marks on faces and bodies, some guys started to copy it. But again I started to do it earlier, in the beginning of 2016, because I always thought that it's beautiful. Some examples:
Sometimes things go really mad. When I finally draw my idea faster than this super-known artist, people still compare me with her and told me that I was inspired by her art!! Here is an example.
CONCLUSION
I think that's very dishonest. We all don't know which references and whose artstyles she used. Everyone just know Sakimichan and she became the icon and the center of the art world. But it's not so. People, open your eyes and mind! Semi-realistic style is just semi-realistic style, it's not Sakimi's. People may have similar styles and use similar painting techniques, but they all still have own art way and own features!
When people compared me with her this made me sad, I was crying a lot and asking "Why? I'm just drawing...". I even try to avoid Sakimi, not her follower, even try not to visit What's hot on DA and so on. I tried to change my style, stopped to paint birth marks and other features so people will not say that I was inspired by Sakimi. But why should I change MY OWN features? In this case I can say: she must experiment, learn and do own. The fact that she is the most famous doesn't mean that I or other artists are worse!
Thank you for reading this till the end. Long text but that was a cry from the heart. All these been destroying my heart, soul and nerves for a long time. Hope now I cleared things up. You may be agree or disagree with this journal entry, I leave it up to you. But I hope you'll understand my point of view. Now I'll just paint what and how I want. Let everyone do it how they want! Guys, just draw and have fun, learn and improve, love what you do and don't let anyone to ruin your art life and mood!

Life update

Hey, guys!
Sorry for being inactive for a long, I got ill, had a high temperature and unstoppable headache for 3 days, nothing hepled*( Yesterday a doctor visited me and now I take antibiotic and painkiller. Feel much better but need rest and to stay in bed Will try to return to work and active life asap.
To customers and raffle winners: sorry for arts delay, after recovery I'll finish all the work. Thanks for understanding! And will try to reply to all comments and notes tomorrow or on Monday.
Oh, and you might notice that my last art Ichihime was deleted by DA (btw, don't worry, another hot artwork comimg soon, you'll understand what I mean) They told me the following:
) They told me the following:"A member of staff has reviewed a report concerning this deviation and has determined that the character(s) depicted in a nude, erotic or sexually compromising situation are established as being under the age of 18 in their original context"
I wrote to them and they don't care that my commissioner is writing a story where Ichigo and Orihime are supposed to be much older. They even don't care that there was a clothed version (they saw nipples which were actually fully covered by shirt). And they don't care that there are much more vulgar artworks on DA. Oh, and I understood one interesting thing: more important to draw adult characters, they must be adult by canon. BUT you can draw them as nude kids and that will not be a child pornography. However you can't draw adult nude (even if they look like adult) if they are under 18 years by canon.
Well, someone reported me, as my husband told "Your first hater") Сongratulate me))
